Top 5 Books By Suze Orman:

1. The Money Book for the Young, Fabulous & Broke

  • Average Customer Rank: 4.5/5Books By Suze Orman
  • Price: $13.49 Paperback
  • Cheapest Place to Buy: Amazon.com
  • Available in: Paperback, Hardcover, Kindle, and Audible

This is one of Suze’s most popular books out there due to it’s positive outlook and inspiring strategies.

Aimed at “Generation Debt” as she puts it, this book is for the new generation who are graduating or living with a ton of debt with seemingly no solution.

Albeit more of a beginner book in some ways, what I believe really makes this book different is Suze’s method of communicating. How this book impacts you will be directly proportionate to how far along you are in your financial education and journey.

In conclusion: She doesn’t go over everything at once and really used this book as a way of introducing the reader to very controversial strategies of eliminating debt and leaving “broke” behind. I recommend this one!

In conclusion: Men, if you have a wife or know a woman who could use this book, don’t hesitate! For just under fifteen bucks, this will not disappoint!I don’t know of many other women who are better suited for this than Suze, therefore, I think this book will truly help you or someone you know.

3. The Money Class: Learn to Create Your New American Dream

  • Average Customer Rank: 4.4/5Books By Suze Orman
  • Price: $9.50 Hardcover
  • Cheapest Place to Buy: Amazon.com
  • Available in: Paperback, Hardcover, Kindle, Audio CD and Audiobook

This book got mixed reviews for a few reasons.

Some wanted a very in-depth book to help with specific needs while others appreciated a broader overview, in terms of financial competence.

Simply put, this book is for anyone looking for a well-rounded look on what it takes to create the American Dream.

I would only recommend “The Money Class” for you if you are a beginner because most of the principles are pretty basic.

If you are a long time reader of Robert Kiyosaki or T. Harv Eker, this book will probably provide worth to you, but I don’t think it will be life changing. The same can’t be said about many books by Suze Orman, but the reviews say this book is more basic.

Many people have said that this book was very useful to get their mindsets back on track. They also said it was encouraging. The rating proves it’s worth, and it comes in several formats!

In conclusion: I would definitely give this book a shot regardless of your financial literacy. I recommend this book because of it’s easy reading style and sound principles.

4. The 9 Steps to Financial Freedom: Practical and Spiritual Steps So You Can Stop Worrying

  • Average Customer Rank: 4.3/5
  • Price: $14.90 Paperback
  • Cheapest Place to Buy: Amazon.com
  • Available in: Paperback and Kindle

Offering 9 simple steps to start taking control of your finances and financial future, Suze gives her advice on how to become financially free.

Some people disagreed with Suze’s opinions and teachings in this book, while others found it to be something they wish they had read sooner. The impact you will get from reading books by Suze Orman really depends on how educated you already are.

Personally, I love anything that that offers steps to financial freedom, but I don’t think this book is labelled correctly.

Suze talks about numerous topics in this book. This includes: Revocable trusts, retirement funds, how to get out of debt, retirement, becoming your own financial adviser, and finally, how to set yourself up for rainy days.

While all good ideas and steps, don’t get me wrong… But these are less applicable for financial freedom and more for taking control of one’s finances and setting up some form of security in light of financial difficulties.

Please be advised, I think this book is most definitely worth the buy. However, I think you are better off getting a book or course on a specific niche, investment business model if you are looking for a “how-to”. If you are looking for a book on how to create a cashflow vehicle, this book is less for you.

In conclusion: Certainly, this book isn’t a how to in Real Estate, Stocks, or business. “The 9 Steps to Financial Freedom” focuses on how to reduce stress, create more financial security, and avoid financial pitfalls.

Among the plethora of books by Suze Orman, this one really stands out! One of the most popular and the most readily used for reference, it’s not hard to see how this book has become one of her best. Most

There is a lot of very useful information in this book. Furthermore, with the revised edition that came out in 2010, it contains information even the experienced financial learner will appreciate.

A few of these include:

  • Bankruptcy and Credit Cards
  • Information on Social Security
  • Information on Life insurance
  • Insurance and disability.

In conclusion: This is a very nice way to lay a firm foundation for a variety of important topics. In addition, I guarantee you will not find half of the information in this book in standard schools.

  1. Hello Jacob, nothing to add here except that I agree 100%. Suze Orman is a very knowledgeable and informed financial writer. There are a couple others I read, but she’s at the top of my list and she covers all the bases when it comes to your finances! Great review. THX Wayne

    • Hi, Wayne, thanks for the comment. I have to agree with you on this. Suze is a remarkable woman and I too believe that her books have the potential to be life changing! I was very drawn to her book, The Road To Wealth myself. I like how she offers very applicable and relevant advice. Some have said that she is a bit too simplistic or that her information is too well known, but most of the people I meet have no clue when asked about the topics she talks about.

  2. I’m all about that #knawledge and can’t believe books like these even existed! Your no.1 recommendation might be first on my list since it’s highly affordable, has a nice avg. customer rating and I like working down the list 🙂 You have some great books here so I hope your readers take action with them, just like I am. Cheers

    • Thanks, Brandon! I am glad you enjoyed my list of Suze’s books. I really wanted to present a well-rounded view on her books and really show them as they are. I know anyone who picks up one of these will not be disappointed. Plus, the price point is pretty sweet too.
I am always happy to meet a reader in financial literacy, I don’t think I will ever stop reading.

  3. Great review and really well laid out. I’m a big fan of becoming more educated about your personal finances, especially as I am in the financial industry. I really see how important this is. Thanks for sharing and helping out others!

  4. I’ve heard of Suzie Orman but I really didn’t know much about her but I do know she is a financial advocate for the masses. The info you provided on books 3, 4 and 5 resonate with me more than 1 and 2. Thanks, Curtis

    • Good to hear, Curtis! The books that speak to me the most are usually the ones I need the most, I can totally relate when it comes to picking financial books and not every good book feels right for me. I hope you enjoy your pick!
