While I believe the number of quality financial quotes out there are practically innumerable, I believe there are a number of choice statements made by very successful people that deserve special credit.

I don’t intend to list the following quotes based on popularity, but upon relevance and how meaningful or relate-able they are for me.

I’m sure if you have an interest in any hobby, passion or industry, you will have some kind of profound or inspirational saying you’ve stored away for easy recollection.

It may not even be something well-known, and might be something your parents or a good friend said to you that has become an age-old proverb in your life.

In any case, I hope the following list of Famous Financial Quotes, will help you in some way, like many of them have been for me.

1. “It’s not how much money you make, but how much money you keep, how hard it works for you, and how many generations you keep it for.” – Robert Kiyosaki

For those of you who know a little about me, listing this quote from Robert Kiyosaki shouldn’t be a big surprise.

I’ve idolized Robert since I was a teenager. My dad taught me many principles about making money that he learned from this amazing teacher and entrepreneur.

This quote is one of my favorites, perfectly expressing the mindset and teachings of Robert Kiyosaki, that he learned from his “Rich Dad”.

For those of you who don’t know who Robert Kiyosaki is, I highly recommend you purchase his books and courses as each one will, “change the way you look at money”, as I like to tell my friends.

2. “If you are willing to do only what’s easy, life will be hard. But if you’re willing to do what’s hard, life will be easy.” – T. Harv Eker

This impacted me so much when I first read this. T.Harv Eker is an amazing teacher and speaker who has gifted many with insight into their minds, their mindsets and how they view money.

This quote in particular holds a sentimental place in my heart because I know this is something I will remember emotionally, and spiritually long after I’ve forgotten the words.

The idea of working now so life will be easier in the future is a great mindset, one I can be proud of having!

3. “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” – Benjamin Franklin

I recently discovered this quote and I think it deserves a place on this list. Some of my previous quotes have included why it is so important to work on my education, and this quote drives it home very effectively. If I want to be successful, it is important that I know how to be successful.

On a side note, Benjamin Franklin is a founding father to the United States and is considered an American icon and visionary for many of the principles that this country was built upon. The fact that this quote can still be referenced today is a testament to that.

4. “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” – Thomas A. Edison

I love the story of Thomas Edison. At least the part where he failed so many times before he finally created the modern day light bulb.

Regardless of his later history, the principle behind this quote is not only very relate-able in the area of financial success, but it is something very personal to him.

I learn more from my mistakes and less from my successes, and I believe this quote is good evidence of that.

5. “The single most powerful asset we all have is our mind. If it is trained well, it can create enormous wealth in what seems to be an instant.” – Robert Kiyosaki

Another classic quote from Robert, the external is very much a direct result of my internal status. What I believe, do, and say become more than my past, they become my reality.

6. “The number one reason most people don’t get what they want is that they don’t know what they want.” – T. Harv Eker

Another example of asking yourself the important questions! When I think about my journey, my best moments were when I was passionately focused, with a goal and a purpose.

Some of my worst were when I was unfocused, and was “meh”, about where I was in life.

This is a perfect example of why people love T. Harv Eker and his teachings.

7. “If money is your hope for independence you will never have it. The only real security that a man will have in this world is a reserve of knowledge, experience, and ability.” – Henry Ford

This statement is so deep, but ridiculously simple.

I think there are quite a few times when I’ve held the idea that money will bring me freedom, when in reality I am choosing to place value and worth on something. Money doesn’t bring independence because I am free and always will be.

Real value and freedom comes from the spiritual and internal parts of ourselves. We get our fulfillment from God, and find ourselves growing every moment that we spend learning.

Expending my life force for something that can’t do anything but give me the worth I have assigned to it, is shortsighted.

8. “It’s not the situation, but whether we react (negative) or respond (positive) to the situation that’s important.” – Zig Ziglar

My dad first introduced me to Zig, and one of the first things I can remember him telling me about him, was how what he said offered so many profound statements.

This is a perfect example of what Zig talks about. He understands that life is made up of choices, not random occurrences in life where everything around me determines my future.

9. “Don’t let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning.” – Robert Kiyosaki

I think I’m not the only one who feels this hit a little too close to home. Robert is famous for saying things that put people out of their comfort zone. This is no exception.

Fear has held me back more times than I can count, and many of those times included periods in my life where I wasn’t even conscious of how fear was pushing me to run from success rather than embrace it.

10. “People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.”- Zig Ziglar

I think Zig says it well, motivation is like being in a jacuzzi, it feels great to be motivated, but if I am not being regenerated with renewed passion to achieve my goals, I am going to get burnt out. I hope these statements have motivated you!

If I apply what I’ve learned, these quotes can help me move forward and embrace life in a new way that I never knew.

If I ignore sound advice from successful people, I might find that their knowledge becomes a part of regret I hold towards my ambitions, reminding me of the times I didn’t listen to someone who could  help me avoid the struggle and heartache of my mistakes.

I might look back later and think, “Man, if only I had taken that statement to heart!”

Anyways, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading my top 10 list, and that it has helped you in some way.
