This book was originally published in 1992 but was revisited to bring you an updated presentation of this timeless classic.

I believe this book can be both an eye-opener and a life changer for anyone.

When I think about great authors, I think of Robert Kiyosaki, T. Harv Eker, among other individuals who had some amazing things to say. What makes Dave Ramsey stand out is his simplistic writing style, and inspirational backstory.

This book was originally self-published by Ramsey and became a NY Times Bestseller.

What Is It About?

Financial Peace becomes a guide book to better self-control, family perspective, and greater financial stability.

Dave focuses on investing, getting out of debt, keeping investing simple (KISS), and some amazing principles like how the flow of money can transform relationships for the better!

More than a diary of Dave’s past, he expounds on what has made him successful, and what has not. He brings you sound advice in a very understandable tone, making it easy for anyone to begin applying his techniques.

It will help bring you peace, prosperity, confidence, self-control, and improve your relationships!

Who Is Dave Ramsey?

Dave Ramsey – Amazon.com

Dave Ramsey is an amazing individual and entrepreneur. He built and lost a Real Estate empire at 30 and went on to regain his wealth and investments by applying what he knows.

He is a public speaker, author, radio host of “The Money Game”, course creator for financial success and a firm believer that your financial life impacts your spiritual life.

On a side note, he also holds degrees in real estate and finance, and no one argues his proficiency in either fields.

His actions speak louder than words or any degrees he has though, he is truly gifted in terms of financial success.

“Pray like it all depends on God, but work like it all depends on you.” – Dave Ramsey

I think what makes Dave such a great person to model and learn from is his ability to level with people. He understands what it means to struggle and lose it all. He knows what it feels like to never go anywhere in more than one area of your life and not know why.

He believes we need to approach money in a confident and grounded way. He believes money and our spiritual lives to be very much intertwined.

He is not a one trick pony, and what he talks about will be diverse in topic, mostly because of how many issues and categories lie within the financial realm.

I believe Dave really brings everything full circle to bring you a great book that will no doubt impact you for life.

He is a firm believer in keeping things simple. I would advocate that most people believe in the KISS principle (Keep It Simple Stupid), but not everyone is praised for their ability to do so.

Dave presents a great book dealing with stressful topics: Debt, anxiety, relationships, spiritual disciplines, etc.

Having someone talk about these things in an understandable way makes a huge difference!

What I have found truly profound in my years of reading and learning, is that it’s the simple things that make the most difference in our lives. It’s the simple acts of kindness we show, the moments we find ourselves available to grow, and the people with whom we spend time with that make the greatest difference.

This principle has really shaped the way I communicate. Even as my vocabulary expands, or my ability to comprehend advanced theory, my ability to explain or talk to someone about a difficult subject has always fallen back on the “KISS” principle.

Why I Recommend This Book

This book will help you in unexpected ways… and hopefully in expected ones too!

This is one of those books that has what so many people need today. A better foundation, a new perspective, and a more harmonious journey as many of us work towards financial stability or freedom.

Most people overlook how God impacts our financial walks, our relationships and personal goals, Dave is exceptional when it comes to bringing your financial life into peace and onto a firm foundation.

Most every book that deals with success and overcoming obstacles deals with a unique perspective, but I believe there aren’t enough books that give a perspective people can relate to and hold onto when things get tough. I hope this will be a book you can hold onto for the rest of your life.

    • Hey, Garry, yeah, I think everyone should give this book a go. Dave Ramsey is an incredible author and I know most people will be taken by surprise with how well he wrote this book.

  2. Hi Jacob.
I found your review helpful and informative.
Having written four self-help finance books for the UK market I understand the interrelationship between wealth, happiness and self achievement. I find it inexplicable that people begrudge paying say around $20 for a book that can save them thousands of dollars every year for life. Why do they refuse to purchase these helpful books? Because they do not trust the author and that is why book review sites like yours are so helpful. They give the potential reader a degree of confidence that the author and the book does what it says it will do on the cover.

    Keep up the good work.

    • Hey, Jim, I appreciate your honesty! I couldn’t agree more, the problem today is that most people don’t take the time for books like this. It’s my hope that articles like these will help people take advantage of information like this and grow.
This books is considered an absolute must have for any collection.
