With so much talk about getting out of the rat race and being your own boss today, it’s not uncommon to hear big names spoken of when money is the discussed topic. You might be wondering, What is the cashflow quadrant by Robert Kiyosaki?
Maybe someone has brought up some of their favorite books and mentioned this one in particular. Maybe Amazon recommended a book for you but you’re skeptical of it’s worth. And you should be!
Too many books claim to give more worth than they really provide, and that’s why you really can’t judge a book by it’s cover!
Today I will be reviewing one of Robert’s greatest books.
Let’s get right into this…

There are a number of reasons why I love this book.
The first being the way it is written. Anyone with a basic education can understand what Robert talks about in his book, and everything talked about can be applied into my life very quickly.
This is the second book in the series of the “Rich Dad” books, but requires no prior reading to understand and learn. His first book was “Rich Dad Poor Dad“, his most popular and best selling book ever.
What becomes most apparent upon reading Robert’s book however, is where we stand financially.
It would be easy for me to say that I recommend this book simply because I was introduced to it as a teenager, but my a-fore mentioned bias to Robert’s books should not be a deterrent from you reading further.
The quality in each of his books speaks for themselves. I have listed testimonials below as well.
What Is This Book About?
I have read this book several times over, but I learn something new every time I read it again. Learning how money flows is one thing, learning how money flows between the working classes is a totally unique perspective on the rat race!
The real benefit of this book (and every Rich Dad book to be honest) lies in its unique way of changing your view on money.
I can look at my bank account and think I am wealthy based off the amount of money I have, or the current job I have, or what investments are currently in my portfolio, but not until I look at how I make money and keep it, does the real “Aha!” moment happen.
Here is part of Amazon’s description of the book:
“Rich Dad’s CASHFLOW Quadrant is a guide to financial freedom. It’s the second book in the Rich Dad Series and reveals how some people work less, earn more, pay less in taxes, and learn to become financially free.” – Amazon.com
Not only will this book change the way you view jobs, money, business and investments, but it will help you improve your life and help you achieve long-lasting financial freedom.
Being able to see the working classes compared, how they are taxed, how they work, where I am at, and seeing the benefits of each has become an essential part of how I plan my financial future. I know it will for you too!
Who Is Robert Kiyosaki?
Robert Kiyosaki is a renowned writer, educator, investor and speaker, introducing the world to his backstory and the lessons his “Rich Dad” taught him through Rich Dad Poor Dad and the Rich Dad book series.
The story of how Robert was first introduced to his Rich Dad is both enjoyable and engrossing to read, I personally love reading Robert’s conversations he would have with Rich Dad about money, jobs, business, real estate, investments, and stocks. I felt like I was sitting there listening to them talk.
He retired at age 47 but got bored and created the educational materials and tools that have helped millions around the world.
Most know him for his first book, but he also created board games like Cashflow 101/202 and Cashflow for Kids. He has written articles online about how the rich get richer. He’s also teamed up with several wealthy and successful people to write some phenomenal books and has held many seminars.
How This Book Has Helped Me
This book did something that Robert’s first book hadn’t. It opened my eyes to see more than one option to become financially successful and secure.
Understanding the “Cashflow Quadrants” made an enormous impact on the course of my life. Ever since reading this book I continued my journey to financial freedom with eyes wide open.
It gave me a deeper appreciation for a job, a part time business, consultant or specialist work. Also investments in general. I realized that I had been working in several of the quadrants without realizing it. To this day that makes me feel like a million bucks!
The reason I believe both Rich Dad Poor Dad and the Cashflow Quadrants are necessary is because both cover two necessary topics.
Robert’s first book will open your eyes to the rat race, escaping it, and build a base for you. This book will build on foundation by showing you how many ways there are to be financially free, by clarifying what you are already doing or what you want to do and will go over the pros and cons of each type of working type.
That might seem a bit basic, but if you have never read this book, I can guarantee you that the information that Robert covers will be life changing!
Take a look at these reviews from other readers:
Many people found this book extremely helpful, and anyone who wrote anything negative were usually more experienced in terms of finances and financial education.
As with any book or course, the impact of Robert’s books will be directly proportionate to your current state in life.
Your previous education on these subjects is paramount in giving a fair review. It’s like test driving a mini van after driving a sports car.
The reason I believe that this book will help you is because I know that schools aren’t teaching this information.
You will not find a single teacher in school who will show you how to manage a credit card.
I strongly recommend you pick up this book for yourself or someone you know who could benefit from this information. I meet people who have no clue when it comes to managing money or getting free of a job.
What a tragedy!
Without Robert’s work, I wonder what the world would be like. Millions would be without information that has helped many succeed in the “Information Age”.
If you seek to improve yourself or help others, I highly recommend this one!
